Andy Cohen, who has had a long-standing relationship with the reality TV star, revealed that he had a serious conversation with Garcelle before her appearance on Watch What Happens Live. He shared that their discussion took place after a challenging reunion taping. While Cohen refrained from divulging specifics about the reunion itself, he emphasized that Garcelle’s time on the show ended on a “not good place.”

He went on to say, “She had a reunion that you will see play out and I’m not gonna, you’ll just watch it, but she didn’t, it was not, she ended in a not good place.” However, Cohen also reassured listeners that Garcelle’s exit wasn’t all about The Real Housewives drama. There were deeper personal considerations at play.

The Watch What Happens Live host revealed that after the reunion, Garcelle and he had a private meeting in New York, about an hour before her live show. During this meeting, Garcelle opened up to him about the emotional and practical challenges she was facing. “She let me into where her head was at,” Cohen explained. “There was not only stuff with the show, but she’s got, the kids are entering their senior year.”

Cohen acknowledged how difficult it must have been for Garcelle to balance her public life with her responsibilities as a mother. He expressed his respect for the way she handled the situation, adding, “I really respect that fact that she really, it was one of the most real conversations.”

Ultimately, Cohen shared that the conversation ended on a note of clarity for Garcelle. She had come to the realization that her priorities needed to shift. As Cohen summarized, “It ended with her saying, ‘I’ve got to choose kind of my life.’”

Co-workers are NOT real friends, so G made a real choice. Losers can hate that, but they'll only B haters. Hate a fake reality show, not a real family.

I don't understand what is wrong with someone deciding to change jobs when she feels the one she has is causing (or can cause) damage to her family or because she wants to prioritize family over the job. I would do the same. Especially if I had a job with such a toxic work environment.

Meh, love her or hate her (I’m in the neither camp), you can’t blame her for crawling out of that viper pit (even if she so chose to engage), and focusing on any and everything less toxic that she’s got going on. ?

It just annoys me that she can dish it but when it's time for her to receive it she runs. I like Garcelle and her commentary has always been entertaining but this is like come on.

Yeah, it’s somewhat cowardly but I can see how this bs gets tiring. These are not her friends, and so, I’m sure this particular acting gig (cuz let’s be real that’s more or less what it is) is far from edifying. All that said, will I miss her or even notice her absence next season? Nope and probably not…but that’s just me. ?

Agree. Cowardly not to give specifics about what was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It’s rumored that she & Sutton are not talking. It’s all very strange.

Hmmm…? Oh well. ????Tbh, I did wonder how genuine that friendship was. So…?

I find it funny that people are saying she's 'bailing' or a 'coward' - we've all seen that happens to kids/family as a result of a HW family being on the show (divorces, kids not talking to the parents, legal scandals, etc).

Well, she saw it and took it on. So…? Like I said, I don’t blame her for crawling out of the viper pit but no one forced her into it or forced her to stay for five seasons. That being said, I don’t doubt she’s probably doing right by herself, her family and probably her career by moving on.???? So, good for her. I’d be willing to bet she won’t regret it. Other than that environment being toxic, it’s gotta be a logistical pain in the ass to have all that filming in your home even if it is for only a few months per year.

Great point; will we miss them? The true litmus test. In Garcon's case, I too think the answer is no.
