In what could be yet another dramatic Real Housewives of Orange County plot twist, Tamra Judge has announced her departure from the show after more than 14 seasons. But if history is any indication, this may not be the last time we hear about Tamra stepping away from the franchise.
On March 9th, the 57-year-old Bravo star took to Instagram to reveal that she’s done with RHOC. “It was a long run! When life gives you real problems this reality sh*t doesn’t make sense. Peace out ?? Im out,” Tamra Judge wrote in her Instagram story, dropping the bombshell without offering much explanation.
After the post went live, a fan account shared Tamra’s story and asked, “Is Tamra quitting??” Tamra’s response? A simple “Yes!!!” leaving fans to wonder if this time she’s truly walking away — or if this is just another instance of Tamra throwing in the towel and then coming back for more drama.
This revelation comes at an interesting time, as the RHOC cast is currently on a group trip in New Orleans, Louisiana, filming for the upcoming 19th season. The current cast includes Shannon Storms Beador, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, Jennifer Pedranti, Katie Ginella, and Gretchen Rossi who is returning as a friend of. Despite their filming activities, Tamra’s sudden decision to leave has raised questions.
Earlier in the day Tamra Judge was spotted filming with the cast and even had a moment with Shannon Beador, and Gretchen Rossi who she doesn’t have the best history with.
Tamra had recently been spotted in videos shared on TikTok, prior to the sudden announcement of her quitting. She can be seen with the entire cast and does appear out of place.

After being fired from the show in 2020 following season 14, Tamra made it clear that she was done with the series. However, much to fans’ delight, she made a surprise return in 2023 for season 17, proving that her time away might not have been as permanent as it seemed.
While it’s unclear exactly why Tamra has quit the show, the “real problems” she referred to in her Instagram story could be tied to some personal struggles. Close friend and former RHOBH star Teddi Mellencamp recently revealed that doctors have found more tumors in her brain and lungs.
