Sutton Stracke Clears the Air on Her Friendship With Kyle Richards After RHOBH Season 14 Drama

Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has already brought its fair share of drama and jaw-dropping moments. One such moment came during a lunch date at Sutton Stracke’s house, where the Sutton Concept founder blurted out a comment that caught both her co-stars and viewers by surprise. Stracke made an offhand remark about Kyle Richards’ marriage to Mauricio Umansky, claiming that Richards had dealt with infidelity. This moment left Richards visibly confused, leading fans to wonder about the state of the friendship between Sutton and Kyle.

In a February 2025 interview with E! News, Sutton Stracke addressed the awkward exchange and shared an update on her relationship with Richards after filming wrapped for season 14. When asked how things were between them after seeing the scene air, Stracke simply said, “It’s fine.”

Reflecting on the awkwardness of the moment, Stracke admitted that her favorite part of the scene was her own nonchalance: “My favorite part of that whole scene is I just keep eating sushi. I’m like ‘This is delicious.’” It seems that Stracke’s tendency to forget the cameras are rolling got the best of her in that moment. When asked if she felt like she knew something about Richards’ marriage that viewers needed to hear, Stracke was quick to clarify: “No. That is probably my biggest tragic flaw is I do tend to forget [the cameras are there].” She added that the exchange was simply “just conversation.”

The scene, which aired in episode “What the Chuck?” of RHOBH, occurred at Stracke’s house, where she had invited Richards and Garcelle Beauvais over for a tennis lesson and lunch. While discussing co-star Dorit Kemsley’s marital issues, Stracke shocked the group by mentioning Richards’ own marriage, saying, “But you also had infidelity. Let’s not forget that part.”

Kyle Richards, clearly caught off guard, responded, “What infidelity? Who did?” Stracke then confirmed, “You did,” leading to a tense back-and-forth. Richards insisted, “No I didn’t,” while Stracke followed up with, “With Mo, when you talked about him.”

This conversation seemed to reference a moment from the RHOBH season 13 reunion, where Richards had mentioned losing trust in her marriage. In a confessional during the episode, Sutton Stracke was asked if she was specifically referring to women reaching out to Umansky on Instagram, to which she replied, “No.” Stracke then admitted, “I always have a problem with things slipping out of my mouth,” suggesting that the comment wasn’t meant to be as serious as it came across.

Earlier in the season, Sutton Stracke had also given Richards some advice regarding her separation from Umansky. In the episode “A Sobering Separation,” Stracke urged Richards to file for divorce, warning her that the amicable split might not stay smooth due to potential financial issues. “If you go on to do something, from the date of filing, that’s yours,” Stracke told Richards during their discussion.

As of now, Richards and Umansky have not filed for divorce, leaving fans wondering if the couple will reconcile or if the marriage will officially come to an end.

In the end, Stracke’s candidness and occasional slip of the tongue seem to be part of her charm on the show, even if it leads to some uncomfortable moments. Whether or not the conversation about Richards’ marriage will impact their friendship in the long run remains to be seen, but for now, Stracke insists that things are “fine” between the two.

Well, saying the relationship is "fine" isn't exactly ringing endorsement of a close relationship. It's kind of an off-handed way of saying nothing about the state of the relationship.

But she never seems to be "candid" or forget the cameras are rolling when speaking to her dear friend Garcelle. Sutton knows exactly what she's doing. I always felt for her when those witches were attacking her...Kyle, Rinna, EJ and Jenkins...but I don't have much time or sympathy for her now.

I didn’t feel for her because she thought she could cook in that kitchen but can never the heat ! She was gross to Diana first , she was intolerable trying to lead a campaign against Erika , she poked Kyle’s marriage when unwarranted . She was dare I say mildly racist to crystal , among other things , then the tantrums AFTER she initiated the BS?I can’t with her . Oooh don’t forget the male strip show debacle . She’s a total loon . And who the hell leads a sisterhood vibe while tearing Dorit down ? I still can’t believe her ass went unchecked for how damn rude she was interrupting Dorit in way to her bffs beach house . That was not polite whatsoever and just obnoxious .Must’ve been a vodka free day ?

I would rename the GA franchise The Real Housewives of Augusta, with Sutton (and her Momster) the matriarchs at the helm. It would be far more interesting (and classier) than the all but dead and buried ATL franchise. Then for a little diversity (and some fireworks) bring over Kenya, Phaedra, and Miss Quad.

Screw diversity, let's just leave the momma and daughter (aka the "Angry Augusta Alcoholics") to the side and bring in Kenya and Phaedra for entertainment. Sutton is not good television, or anything for that matter.

I go back and forth with Sutton. While her brand of quirkiness is not for everyone, I have occasionally found her to be mildly entertaining,. She and Kathy are two peas in a pod.

I wonder how “ fine” it really is.

E Q, good question. We are aware that Kyle holds grudges & will well beyond the grave, so is their friendship fine? Kyle will find a way to make Sutton regret her words via her per usual manipulative underhanded methods, she wont sleep well till she does.

She’s insufferable . Garcelle doesn’t help or hinder her - she’s just , there . And I’m starting to think her momma is the way she is toward her because she’s naturally annoying - triggering ? Who is so desperate to be HER friend other than garcelle ? Ugh

Sutton is not annoying. She's honest. If honesty annoys you, then thats your problem to deal with. Dorit is annoying. She's neither honest or nice. Kyle is both annoying and insufferable because she is neither honest, nice or real. Everything about her is manufactured and fake. From her face to her storylines to her ever present crocodile tears.
Starr February 18, 2025 - 4:57 pm
stuhunter, today you are my hero. I am with you on EVERYTHING you stated. Beautifully done.

Sutton is far from nice . That is the LAST adjective I would ever use . I haven’t heard Dorit lie yet ? Even though this isn’t about her …Kyle has become that I suppose last two seasons more so than ever but she has been honest yet ugly about it at times . Back to insufferable Sutton - she’s a big ass entitled unhinged baby . If you can’t handle my opinion, that’s your business . Have a good night Stu .
