Melissa Gorga’s Response to Teresa Giudice’s “You’re Welcome” Tweet Falls Flat

Melissa Gorga’s Response to Teresa Giudice’s “You’re Welcome” Tweet Falls Flat

If you’ve been following The Real Housewives of New Jersey, you know that drama between Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, is practically a brand unto itself. The latest chapter in their ongoing feud, however, has taken an unexpected turn—this time, it’s all about sprinkle cookies. Yes, sprinkle cookies. Let’s take a moment to unpack how this seemingly innocuous treat has once again become the centerpiece of their complicated relationship.

Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice

For those who need a refresher, the sprinkle cookie saga began back in RHONJ Season 3, when Teresa Giudice spoke on Melissa Gorga bringing sprinkle cookies to her house on Christmas Eve. In one of the series’ most memorable moments, Teresa, famously recalled tossing the cookies in the trash. The incident became an iconic part of the RHONJ legacy, fuelled by the humor and absurdity of the situation. Fast forward to 2024, and Melissa, has decided to launch her own line of sprinkle cookies—a direct nod to that memorable scene Teresa Giudice made happen.

Fast forward to 2024, and Melissa has decided to cash in on this long-standing drama by launching her very own sprinkle cookie business. And, of course, when Teresa, ever the provocateur, tweeted a simple “You’re welcome,” suggesting that Melissa’s business venture was more about capitalizing on old drama than actual culinary innovation, Melissa fired back with an awkward response telling Brice Sanders: She’s welcome. I mean, she’s welcome. She’s welcome for me bringing them there and her being able to complain to her friends about me. So she’s welcome.”

@bricesander @Melissagorga had full faith her sprinkle cookies would pass the @Bethenny Frankel taste test #RHONJ ? original sound – Brice Sander

Another example of Melissa Gorga using the same tired playbook—cling to old drama and hope it carries her forward.

Furthermore, it’s important to ask: is the cookie business truly Melissa’s idea, or is it merely another way to repackage old drama for a new audience? The fact that she has to keep referencing Teresa in her response only underscores that this isn’t really a standalone venture—it’s a continuation of the RHONJ narrative. And while there’s no denying that drama sells, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Melissa’s strategy is simply recycling the same tired storyline.

In many ways, Melissa’s cookie business feels less like a genuine entrepreneurial effort and more like an opportunistic way to ride the coattails of her family’s ongoing feud. After all, without the history of the sprinkle cookies—and without the drama that has defined her relationship with Teresa—how many people would be interested in her baked goods? There’s a sense of irony here: Melissa has built a career around being the “other woman” in a family drama that she often seems to be the catalyst for, and now she’s trying to parlay that tension into something tangible.

Ultimately, it’s hard to take Melissa’s business venture seriously when it’s so transparently tied to her need to stay in the spotlight. Her constant need to respond to Teresa’s every move shows that, no matter what she’s doing—whether it’s launching a cookie line or putting out a new product—she’s still stuck in the shadow of her sister-in-law’s drama.

While Teresa’s “you’re welcome” tweet may have been a subtle jab, it revealed an uncomfortable truth for Melissa: without the ongoing feud, there might not be much for her to sell. The sprinkle cookies, much like the drama between the two women, are likely to remain a reminder that in the world of RHONJ, some business moves are more about keeping the narrative alive than creating something of real value.

The question remains: can Melissa build something lasting on her own merits, or is she forever doomed to be defined by the drama she can’t seem to let go of?

Good for Melissa. Make that $$$. Everyone else does. The Felon only said something because she's angry she didn't put out sprinkle cookies first. A recipe doesn't make you too much money if you do nothing with it.

Melissa kept it short and sweet Had she said more , she would have been taken over the coals. She is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't.

Normally I like what Melissa wears, not everything, but the majority. I think she has great style and a great body. But I have to say.. WTF Melissa?! What you wore on WWHL last night was freakin awful.

If anyone's clinging to old drama it's Teresa. She still can't get past her SIL and brother joining the show 13 years ago. She's just like her father. And why shouldn't Melissa capitalize off something that happened on the show? Many HWs have done it, it's not unique to her. And the question asked, "Can Melissa build something lasting on her own merits?" She opened a clothing store(s) that many years later is still thriving so the answer to that question would be yes. Has Teresa had any endeavor that lasted that long? Nope.

I don’t know if she truly cares about that anymore but I would understand Teresa being hurt over the fact things were done behind her back with the intention of taking her down. It was the WAY they joined and the INTENTION behind it, her own family. I'm not understanding why some ignore that fact because it set the stage for the RHONJ pause they are on now. Good for them both, they each have their own successful endeavors.

I think what people overlook is it was Bravo and production that put Melissa on the show because they love controversy on the HWs shows. Melissa had no power to cast herself. Should they have told Teresa they were being recruited for the show? Maybe, but according to both parties they weren't on speaking terms at the time. I doubt if the shoe were on the other foot Teresa would have turned down the opportunity to be on a show that Melissa and Joe were on. There's so much bad blood in the Gorga family, and extended family, that this is a lifestyle for them, Teresa was just resentful that people would actually see she isn't all nicey, nicey. JMO.

I hear ya and even though the show was an opportunity for the Gorgas, did they really have to come with guns blazing at Teresa? Nope and that wasn't nicey nicey. Teresa always insisted they were not on speaking terms but Melissa always said they were. No one would want family coming for them constantly and did they take digs at each other, yes. The christening was hard to watch and it didn't have to go down like that. And here we are! We'll just agree to disagree, lol. :-)

This is a really good article and it’s spot on, especially with the question at the end. Only time will tell.

Yeah, I agree. It did fall flat, she tries- bless her heart??????. Just own the fact that you are capitalizing on a situation that happened a very long time ago. It really doesn’t make you a bad person.. it really doesn’t. I have read and seen people try these cookies. They have all liked her butter sprinkled cookies , they are Not Italian Sprinkled cookies!! Good for her.
MB ??? December 19, 2024 - 9:44 am
Teresa also "capitalized" on the situation. She posted a YT video of making Confetti Party cookies aka Italian sprinkled cookies and called them her version of sprinkle cookies and commented they were "Yummier than those store bought ones" Teresa couldn't help herself to make the comparison. No one wants to let this one go.

Ok, I didn’t say it’s a bad thing that Melissa is capitalizing on this., just in my opinion/ own it Melissa. Like I said it doesn’t make her a bad person. I do agree with you no one wants to let it go.

DS484 January 2, 2025 - 4:28 pm
Tre jealous she is making money with her cookies.! I bought some and they are really good! That is what we mean by Tre being jealous of Melissia.
DS484 January 2, 2025 - 4:24 pm
Nah, I have tried them and I have talked to people that actually said they are GOOD!
holy cannoli January 2, 2025 - 4:35 pm
I posted that I’ve read they are good, they like them. They probably are, I don’t know ?????. I’m not a fan of sprinkle cookies, all they are , are butter cookies with sprinkles on them. Nothing special in my opinion. Also sprinkle cookies are Not Authentic Italian cookies like her and Joey are saying. They aren’t even Italian.

Melissa has always been stuck in the shadow of her sister-in-law, she knows it and it bothers her. ENVY. Teresa has been to jail/served her time, lost her parents and got a divorce but she's still standing. She's the most sought after "felon" I know who makes her money without RHONJ drama and there is no need for her to try and stay relevant.
