RHOSLC’s Heather Gay Opens Up About Being ‘Shamed’ After Weight Loss

RHOSLC fans question if Heather Gay has gone under the knife.

RHOSLC star Heather Gay is opening up about her weight loss journey and being “shamed” after losing 25 pounds.

“I’ve been shamed for just about everything and anything,” the RHOSLC star, who lost weight after using Ozempic, told E! News“I got shamed for being overweight, and I got shamed for being on medication. So, you can’t win.”

“I feel the same. I feel like I liked myself then, I like myself now. It’s just Ozempic became available, and it worked for me,” Heather Gay explained, noting that she felt “pressure” to lose weight.

However, Heather admits that she was disappointed in the reaction she received from others about her weight loss.

“I was being valued by my castmates, by the public, in a way that I had never been valued before,” she shared. “And that felt, to me, sad.”

Earlier this year, Heather Gay admitted that her previous “body positive” attitude was “a big lie” and that she is happier being thinner since taking Ozempic to lose weight.

“I’ve sold out, I’ve given up the banner of you know, accept yourself. And it’s disappointing and sad to know that body positivity was all a big lie,” Heather Gay said while speaking on ABC’s Impact x Nightline in March. “It is better not to be overweight.”

The RHOSLC star noted how “everyone” she knew was taking Ozempic or something similar to lose weight and that they were “bragging” about “how great it was and magical.”

The Bravo star detailed how she has been body-shamed by RHOSLC fans and co-stars for her size. Mary Cosby infamously questioned if Heather’s Gucci corset from season 4 of RHOSLC was authentic because she didn’t think Gucci made clothes in “a size 14.”

“I didn’t want to show up at another party and see all of my friends 20 pounds thinner and just be resentful,” Heather confessed before admitting that she felt “pressured” to take Ozempic as her “last hope.”

The reality star also claimed that she’s been treated better by costars and fans since losing more than 20 pounds.

“I started to feel seen for the first time — even after being on television, writing a New York Times bestselling book. For the first time, I was being valued by my castmates, by the public, in a way that I had never been valued before. And that felt to me … sad.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Obesity is epidemic. I think it's the number one cause of diabetes. There is a genetic component to a lot of obesity because it does run in families. You can see a family where most members are slim and one member is obese. I do feel for that person. Much of obesity is caused by addiction to fast food. I believe it's been documented that fast food contains ingredients to deliberately addict people. And then the pharma companies have life long clients who end up needing prescription medications to combat the diseases caused by obesity. Follow the money...the root of all evil.

I forgot about Mary's body fat-shaming (we can add that to her many attributes). Yeah yeah we all know I called Heather Shrek, but I'm not a paid performer who is constrained by common decency, so I can be an asshole. However, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, I'll have to give the Shrek shtick a rest (for now anyway).

I never took the Shrek name as anything but in good humor. No shame meant.

Thank you dear heart, but to everyone else who disapproved, I'll use what all the HW's use ... "I was only repeating what Jen Shawshank said, so it was already out there".

I believe it. Female jealousy is SOOOOOO effin’ INSANE! Delusional feminist types want to pretend it doesn’t exist. Sure Jan. It’s the rule, not the exception and it’s BEYOND pathological! If Heather’s weight loss bunches the panties of those types, I hope the b*tch becomes a straight up Kate Moss approved waif and they all choke on their jealousy cuz I, for one, am SICK of the ‘body positive’ horseshit these idiots spew to justify their own obesity. It’s going to KILL people. And yes, FAR more people than anorexia ever has. https://media4.giphy.com/media/7zrZC61lkmmG75qogm/giphy-downsized-small.mp4
