During Tuesday’s episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, host Andy Cohen shared his ominous thoughts on the future of RHONJ.
Following Sunday’s RHONJ finale episode, Andy Cohen shared that he believed the finale episode of season 14 felt “like a series finale.”
“I want to get into some Housewives talk. Everyone’s still talking about Jersey. People still texting me about it as well as I got the Jersey ladies texting me. I think you’re gonna really like the finale though. I mean, the reunion, that’s not a reunion. I think it’s kind of a soft landing for the show. Let me say that. Did kind of feel like a series finale, didn’t it?” Andy Cohen said on Tuesday.
This latest comment from Andy on the future of the Real Housewives of New Jersey franchise comes amid reports that Bravo is putting season 15 on “ice” for the rest of the year, with sources saying filming “won’t resume until 2025.”
“There will be no decisions about what will or won’t happen with the show until early next year,’ a source tells DailyMail.com. “Filming [for season 15] will likely not resume until 2025.”
The source continued: “There is not going to be any more filming of RHONJ for the remainder of the year. There’s nothing planned. It’s on ice.”
“Everybody is waiting to find out what’s going to happen,” the source shared, noting that rumors claiming some members of the RHONJ cast have already been fired are “not true.”
Casting decisions for season 15 of RHONJ will not be decided anytime soon, as Bravo has no interest in rushing the process. Sources say Bravo won’t even begin the casting process until next year.
The insider added, “However, some cast members are less likely to come back than others based on certain events that have unfolded this past season. But for two or three cast members, it could be over for good.”
When asked why everything is on hold, the insider spilled: “I think that they don’t know what to do. They don’t know what to do because it’s almost like a puzzle where you’re trying to put pieces together that make sense. And there’s very few pieces of this puzzle that make sense for viewers right now.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey currently stars Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Rachel Fuda, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Jackie Goldschneider, Danielle Cabral, and Jennifer Fessler.
