LeeAnne Locken weighs in on whether or not RHOD rumors are true and admits, “Timing is everything.”
For the last few years, Bravo fans have been wondering if the Real Housewives of Dallas franchise will be coming back.
Now, RHOD OG LeeAnne Locken shares her feelings on the possibility of the franchise being rebooted.
“I would love to have RHOD back on air,” LeeAnne Locken told OK!, noting that she craves “the drama, the parties, and even the friendships.”
However, LeeAnne admits that there are also things about reality TV that she doesn’t miss, like “some of the cast’s toxicity, especially on social media.”
“I do love our audience!” she added before admitting that she does feel that there is place for the show in the Bravoverse today.
“There are plenty of original cast members that are very relevant and viable for a reboot. It would also be fun to see some new faces. Rumors are the show is always considered,” LeeAnne noted. “I just think they are waiting for the right time. After all, timing is everything.”
“I think the fans of Dallas Housewives miss it because Dallas offered something that the other shows don’t have,” she revealed. “We’re different. We’re not Beverly Hills, we’re not New York, we’re not New Jersey. We live differently. We connect differently.”
While LeeAnne believes it will probably be a “few more years” before Bravo potentially brings back the Dallas Housewives franchise, she adds that she isn’t begging the network for a revival.
“I’m not good at getting on my knees,” she joked. “I threw away knee pads when I hit 35!”
LeeAnne starred on the Real Housewives of Dallas from seasons 1 through 4 before exiting the show ahead of season 5. After season 5, Bravo put the Real Housewives of Dallas on an indefinite “pause,” much like they previously did with the Real Housewives of Miami.
However, Bravo rebooted RHOM in 2021 on its streaming app, Peacock. Seasons 4 and 5 aired on Peacock with great success. The franchise continues to air on Bravo.
