DailyMail.com reports that Brittany Cartwright has been hit with a $35k tax lien on the Los Angeles home she previously shared with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor.

According to court documents, a state tax lien has been placed on the estranged couple’s $1.9 million San Fernando Valley home by the California Franchise Tax Board.

The lien was filed on June 12, 2024, in the amount of $35,239.88.

Court documents state that “further interest and fees will accrue” until the lien is paid in full.

The 35-year-old has been living in an Airbnb since separating from Jax earlier this year after five years of marriage. In April, Brittany Cartwright revealed that she still pays “all the bills” at home while Jax “pays the mortgage” and continues to live in the property.

The Valley stars moved into the 3,765-square-foot five-bedroom home in May of 2019.

Jax and Brittany met in 2015 at the Gold Spike Lounge in Las Vegas. The Kentucky native quickly moved to Los Angeles to be with Jax and first appeared on season 4 of Vanderpump Rules. By 2016, Brittany had landed a job at SUR and became an official VPR cast member.

After some ups and downs in their relationship, Jax proposed in June 2018, and the couple said ‘I do’ a little more than a year later, in 2019.

They welcomed their son, Cruz, in April 2021.

The Valley will return for season 2 in 2025.

It's a tax lien against the house. Why aren't her property taxes included in their mortgage payment? Not a wise decision on her or Jax's part!

Not living at home, the state probably couldn't find her. Own the home or not. Pay your bills. She's easily making the money, so hire someone to do your taxes. She probably doesn't do maths good. LOL.

A few less trips to KFC and Pizza Hut alone could pay for this heifa's tax debt.

She claims she pays all the bills but does not pay her taxes. I guess she feels entitled to all the public services for free.
