Andy Cohen teases that the RHONJ franchise can go down “four different” paths moving forward.
Andy Cohen recently appeared on Jeff Lewis’ podcast, Jeff Lewis Has Issues, where he was asked about the future of the Real Housewives of New Jersey franchise.
“When the stars don’t want to be in the same galaxy, that’s not sustainable,” Andy shared.
Jeff Lewis then asked if “a complete reboot” was on the table for RHONJ.
“I think anything is an option,” Andy responded.
“I think there are four different ways that we could go with that show. And I think you could probably figure out what they are,” Andy elaborated. “We are going to let this season play out. We will all talk.”
He continued, “We’ll do the focus group stuff. We’ll do all the stuff we do. And we’ll probably do a bunch of casting. And we’ll take our time.”
Andy also addressed Bravo’s decision to nix a traditional sitdown reunion for season 14 of RHONJ, explaining that it isn’t necessary and would not be productive for the cast.
“The finale is kind of the finale and the reunion all in one,” he noted.
Rumor has it Bravo plans to reboot the franchise before production for season 15 begins. For the past two seasons, tension between the stars of RHONJ has reached a fever pitch. The cast and their fans have attacked each other on social media in never-before-seen ways.
Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Sundays at 8 pm.
