I don’t think they understood why,”*** Lisa Rinna said on [The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-conversation-with-amanda-de-cadenet/id1514866495). ***“They all of a sudden hated me, couldn’t stand me, wanted me off the show. Listen, I’ve been a very controversial character on that show for eight years.”*** ***“I can honestly tell you I don’t think I did anything different this past year or the year I ended the show than I’d done any time before,” ***she continued, ***“It manifested in a great deal of social media hatred, like bullying, like death threats. That’s too much,’”*** she said. ***“And so I got this barrage of hate and vitriol that I’d never seen before. And I’ve seen a great deal of it, but this was another level. And I also think it’s, you know, where we are in society and what’s going on in the world. It was like this perfect storm of hatred.”*** In January 2023, [Lisa Rinna announced her exit from RHOBH](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/01/05/lisa-rinna-announces-exit-from-rhobh-after-8-seasons/) after eight seasons on the show. The former soap star joined the *Real Housewives of Beverly Hills* in 2014 during season 5. She remained a full-time cast member on the show until her exit following season 12.
