Jax Taylor Doesn’t Want the Pump Rules Cast Joining The Valley

Stars of The Valley, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, being shady on WWHL.

Jax Taylor is not interested in any Vanderpump Rules cast members joining The Valley for season 2.

During the Friday, May 10 episode of his When Reality Hits podcast, he asked his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, who she would like to see join the season 2 cast of their hit Bravo show.

Before Brittany could respond, Jax shut down her naming any of their former Vanderpump Rules co-stars.

“Not from Vanderpump Rules,” he noted. “I personally don’t think we need to bring anyone from Vanderpump Rules over.”

However, Brittany, who joined Vanderpump Rules during season 4 when she and Jax began dating, disagreed.

Scheana [Shay] and Lala [Kent] are my closest friends outside of this group,” Brittany said.

Jax held his ground as rumors continued to swirl that Vanderpump Rules may be rebooted ahead of season 12. Rumor has it that season 12 of VPR will return with an all-new cast. As for the current VPR cast members, they would either transition to The Valley or perhaps get their own spinoff show. Bravo has yet to confirm any of this gossip.

The only thing we know for sure is that Bravo is putting VPR on pause for the summer. Filming for season 12 is expected to resume sometime in the next six months to a year.

“I’m not trying to make this Vanderpump Rules,” Jax explained. “As of right now, that is a no. It is a hard no. But who knows, it could change. If we have parties, absolutely.”

He continued: “But this is The Valley, this is not an extension of Vanderpump Rules. I’m really proud of our show, and I think it isn’t fair for our cast members after they worked so hard to [just] bring people over.”

Season one of The Valley stars Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute, as well as newcomers Michelle Lally, Jesse Lally, Danny Booko, Nia Booko, Jason Caperna, Jasmine Goode, and Zack Wickham.

Earlier this month, Page Six reported that Lala Kent is in “early talks” to join the second season of Bravo’s new hit show, The Valley

“Lala is in early talks to join ‘The Valley,’” an insider revealed. “She is very connected with that cast. Those girls are her very good friends and mom crew.”

The source added that even if Lala does join the new spinoff series, she also plans to film the season 12 cast of Vanderpump Rules whenever it resumes production within the next year

The Valley airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.

We can ask Dorinda Medley how that "pause" thing works out on these shows. Just saying...

No VPR cast moving to The Valley! And those that are already on the Valley should be put on hiatus with all the the other VPR actors. (Sorry Jax and Brittany -- but you two are about as boring as VPRules! Time for you two to ride off into the sunset and finish your divorce without informing us of every boring detail)

Did Jax forget that before the VPR 2020 Purge, most of the cast was going to transition to a show called Vanderpump Valley, which is what I imagine would've been very similar to The Valley. I'm cool with Scheana, Lala and the Toms hopping over to The Valley, but please leave Ariana, Katie, and the British Chipmunk off. The three of them don't really talk to anyone on The Valley anyway, whereas the other 4 do. And I would love to see the cast not being under the thumb of LVP. She can stay on VPR and run the reboot.

I agree. No VPR. VPR cast ruined their show these past two years. Don't let them bring down The Valley. It's doing just fine without them.
