Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp all but confirms that Mauricio Umansky cheated on his estranged wife, Kyle Richards.
On a recent episode of the Two T’s in a Pod podcast, host Teddi Mellencamp teased that “something traumatic” happened between Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, which caused the RHOBH OG’s anger towards her husband and ultimately led to their current separation.
According to Teddi, it was clear that Kyle was “angry” with Mauricio when they filmed that one-on-one scene together, which aired during the season 13 premiere of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The All-In accountability coach said that she could tell that Kyle was trying to hide her feelings about her marriage while filming, noting that she and her husband, Edwin Arroyave, went through something similar during their first year on RHOBH.
The 42-year-old explained:
“I think that it’s clear by watching this [that] Kyle is hiding how she’s feeling about things with Mauricio. [During] my first season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I did not think Edwin and I were gonna make it. We were in a terrible place. I thought we were gonna get a divorce. So every single scene, which I don’t know why, none of it was shown, we were at each other just like that. And so when I watched that [scene between Kyle and Mauricio], I immediately thought, oh my gosh, clearly she’s angry.”
She then said that seeing Maurico and Kyle in such a bad place was “jarring” for Bravo fans because they have always been a “united front” on the show.
However, Teddi then tip-toed around the possibility that Mauricio Umansky cheated on Kyle Richards. She also alluded, without confirming, that Edwin may have cheated on her throughout their marriage.
She also noted Mauricio Umansky being spotted holding hands with his Dancing With the Stars partner Emma Slater was “triggering” for Kyle Richards because of past “traumatic things” that occurred during their nearly 30-year marriage.
“I think we’re just gonna keep seeing more. And I think it’s really, I think it’s also jarring to us because they’ve always come off as such a united front. You know, you’ve always seen them as this couple, but I’m sorry when traumatic things happen. And that is actually what happens. Like I had for years, I had so much resentment towards Edwin and I, it was to the point where I, I couldn’t even look at him. And the fact that we’ve been able to work through it has been huge. But, like, once you’ve been burned, it’s really hard to come back from.”
Teddi’s podcast co-host Tamra Judge asked: “Wait, are you saying he cheated on you?”
The RHOBH alum replied: “I’m saying that the photographs that Kyle just had to see online from TMZ were very triggering for me.”
As AllAboutTRH previously reported, Mauricio was recently spotted holding hands with his DWTS partner, Emma Slater, after having dinner together in Beverly Hills.
The two denied that they are dating or are anything more than friends and dancing partners.
However, Kyle Richards admitted on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that she was “hurt” seeing photos of Mauricio and Emma holding hands. While Kyle isn’t sure anything has happened between the two just yet, she notes, “Obviously, there’s something there.”
“I was taken aback. That was very hard to see. It hurt my feelings,” Kyle admitted. “I mean, hold holding hands like that. Andy, I really don’t. Why are you doing this to me? Well, I just don’t think you hold hands like this. Well, the thing is this: I don’t know if anything’s happened yet, but obviously, there’s something there. And I love him very much, and we are amicable, but that really did hurt me.”
Meanwhile, Kyle recently admitted that she was a “little angry” and a “little bitter” while filming season 13 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The RHOBH OG also revealed that she was the one who initiated the separation from Mauricio while admitting in a preview for this week’s episode that she needed “freedom” and “space” from her husband.
