Shannon Beador has been officially charged with DUI and hit-and-run as her blood alcohol level was 3x the legal limit during her September arrest.
The hits just keep coming for Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador.
On Friday, TMZ reported that Shannon Beador had officially been charged with DUI and hit-and-run stemming from her September 16 arrest in Newport Beach, California. Both charges are misdemeanors.
Per law enforcement sources, Shannon Beador’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit, and she blew a .24 percent following the crash.
These charges come over a month after Shannon’s arrest for hit-and-run after she crashed her car while driving under the influence.
The Bravoleb is scheduled to appear in court on October 30th in connection to these charges. “Shannon Beador is scheduled to be arraigned 10/30/23,” a spokesperson from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office told Radar Online on Friday.
Shannon was arrested for DUI and a hit-and-run on Saturday, September 16, in Newport Beach, California, after she drove her car into a residential property and “clipped the house.”
The reality star’s attorney, Mike Fell, quickly released a statement noting how expressing how “apologetic and remorseful” Shannon was over her actions.
“We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available,” Fell said at the time. “Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
Almost a month later, on Monday, October 9, The Real Housewives of Orange County star entered into an outpatient treatment. The behavioral wellness program that Shannon has enrolled in features an alcohol component.
For the most part, Shannon has remained mum following her arrest, but she recently broke her silence on social media.
The 59-year-old posted a video on Instagram where she told fans that she can’t speak about her legal woes at the moment but promises to be “open” and “honest” about her DUI when she can talk about them publicly.
Shannon said:
“I know it’s been a while since I posted, and there’s been a lot of talk about everything that’s happened recently, but unfortunately, right now, I’m not in the position to comment, but there will be a time when I can, and I intend to be open, honest, and authentic. Right now, I’m focusing on getting healthy and getting back to myself and walking. Archie.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County will return for season 18 in 2024.
