For nearly a year, [Bravo fans trolled Melissa and Joe](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/03/18/rhonjs-melissa-gorga-remodeling-new-home-again-after-multiple-interior-designers-review-the-hideous-home-describing-it-as-a-mess/) Gorga‘s poorly designed home due to its multiple pointed roofs and lack of symmetry – and that was just their thoughts on the outside of the home. The inside is a whole different ballgame. The [RHONJ](https://allabouttrh.com/category/the-real-housewives-of-new-jersey/) couple moved into their Franklin Lakes home last November; however, less than two months later, they were [renovating the exterior of their home](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/04/12/bravo-throws-shade-at-melissa-gorga-plus-exclusive-photos-of-the-renovations-joe-and-melissa-are-making-to-their-franklin-lakes-home/). Melissa and Joe took out a very large loan to make the necessary upgrades to their home. In April 2021, the Gorgas got a mortgage for $1.435M. With that money purchased the property on Indian Trail Dr and knocked down the previous home to build their current McMansion. Then, in January 2023, the couple refinanced and took out an additional $565k on their house. Since then, Melissa and Joe Gorga have hired professionals to create a more pleasing balance to their home by adding an extension that includes a front porch and additional windows. In June, Melissa gushed about her [newly redone home](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/06/26/rhonj-melissa-gorga-redone-home/) in her post on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/OfficialMelissaGorga/): ***“Finally finished. I’m so happy I found Dan & @planarchitecture so that when we could FINALLY resubmit our plans after all the COVID chaos, my true vision for this house could come to life…@joeygorga I know you wanted to kill me, but I’m so grateful for you to make this happen so soon after moving in.”*** ![RHONJ Melissa Gorga](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/IMG_5556-1200x1094.jpg)Melissa and Joe Gorga's house in Franklin Lakes, NJ. ![RHONJ Melissa Gorga](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/IMG_5555-1200x1188.jpg)Melissa and Joe Gorga's house in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
