Andy Cohen Teases More Real Housewives Reboots After RHONY and RHOM Success

Andy looks annoyed by the drama.

Buckle up Bravo fans because more Real Housewives reboots could be coming to Bravo very soon, according to executive producer Andy Cohen.

Andy Cohen wants fans to know that no Real Housewives franchise is safe from a reboot at this time, especially following the successful reboots of the New York and Miami Real Housewives franchise.

Following the season 14 premiere of the Real Housewives of New York on Sunday, Andy teased that more Real Housewives reboots could be coming.

On Threads, Andy Cohen did a Q&A with fans, which is when one fan asked, “Now that RHONY has had such positive feedback, are you thinking about rebooting other franchises?”

Andy replied with a thinking face emoji. See the interaction below!

As fans know, Bravo has now successfully rebooted two Real Housewives franchises.

In 2013, the Real Housewives of Miami faded off into the sunset following season 3 with no official statement from Bravo on the fate of the franchise. Fast forward to 2021, when the network decided to reboot the show on NBC’s streaming platform Peacock. Instead of bringing in a whole new cast, Bravo meshed old cast members with some new faces to create a dynamic and engaging cast. The RHOM reboot has done so well that the franchise is officially coming back to Bravo for season 6 after airing for two seasons on Peacock.

Bravo/Peacock

Bravo announced the Real Housewives of New York was being put “on pause” in November 2021, two months after season 13 finished airing without filming a reunion. Then, in March of 2022, Bravo announced that they would be rebooting RHONY with an all-new cast for season 14. The network debuted the new RHONY cast at BravoCon in November 2022. Season 14 of RHONY debuted on Sunday, July 16, to rave reviews from fans.

Now, fans are wondering which Real Housewives franchise will be the next to be rebooted. Many believe that the Real Housewives of Atlanta needs a refresh. Fans are not connecting with the franchise at the moment. The fifteenth season of RHOA is currently airing on Bravo.

RHOA season 15 cast

Other fans would like Bravo to reboot and revive the Dallas Real Housewives franchise, which Bravo put “on pause” in 2021. Many others want Bravo to give the Real Housewives of New Jersey and the Real Housewives of Orange County casting facelifts. That likely won’t be happening as RHONJ just had a very successful season ratings-wise, so much so that Bravo is bringing back the entire cast for season 14. As for RHOC, the franchise is doing pretty well in the ratings, but we are only a few episodes into season 17, so only time will tell how things work out.

Melissa Gorga, Andy Cohen, Teresa Giudice, and Jennifer Aydin discuss the season 13 drama at reunion.

If they want to spend more advertising money for a Reboot for lower ratings than what the Original HW shows are already bringing than go ahead with the Reboots. Or..Bravo could show some respect to one of the most loyal viewing groups (outside of soaps previously) the last 16 years and get some feedback from its viewers. Do they want these viewers, or completely different viewers is the question. Often ratings drop just due to one cast member there is a backlash to like Brauwynn on the OC and Leah on NY, both responsible for ratings plummets during their time on their series and fans made it well known on social media. BH still has very good ratings over a million but their ratings have dropped 25% the last 2-3 years because the seasons have been too dark for some fans, fighting and no LVP. For NJ viewers straight up said this season was too much fighting and just repetitive, like watching seasons 3-6 again so that is why they stopped watching. This is probably why ratings fell for the first time ever below 1 million viewership and Ave. 820,000 for reg. Season episodes. Next season producers should be putting more fun, parties, humor, back into NJ and making it fresh. It is easier to fix what they have than start from scratch. Listening to why fans have tuned out is important.
