A lawyer is suing Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Gorga for refusing to pay legal fees in multi-million dollar real estate sale.
The U.S. Sun reports that RHONJ’s Joe Gorga is being sued by his former lawyer Alan Trembulak for $3,337.50 in unpaid legal fees.
Trembulak filed the complaint on June 26 and claims that Joe Gorga hired him in December 2020 to represent him in a $6 million commercial real estate transaction.
The court filing alleges:
“During the period from December 8, 2020, through May 6, 2021, the plaintiff performed legal services for the defendant in connection with the transaction. On May 14, 2021, and June 9, 2021, the plaintiff rendered itemized invoices to the defendant for services performed totaling $3,337.50.”
The lawsuit also claims: “Despite the plaintiff’s demands, the defendant has failed and refused to pay any portion of the amount due. Payment has been demanded and has not been made.”
Trembulak’s services include teleconferences, reviewing and revising contracts, as well as other services. The attorney is also seeking interest, attorney’s fees, and additional costs in the lawsuit.
Joe Gorga has yet to respond to the lawsuit but did receive a summons via mail.
This latest lawsuit is just the tip of the iceberg. Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, have been slapped with numerous lawsuits over the last year.
In late 2022, the RHONJ couple was sued for $110,972.58 over unpaid construction costs on their new Franklin Lakes home.
Joe has denied the claims against him, which includes breach of contract, and requested that the case be dismissed.
Then in 2023, Joe and Melissa were sued by a woman, named Blanca Hernandez, who claimed that she was injured on a property that they were responsible for managing.
The RHONJ couple fired back at the lawsuit on April 24, denying all claims of negligence. They claim that Hernandez is responsible for causing any damages she occurred.
Melissa and Joe went on to claim they were “not liable” for Hernandez’s negligence while on their property and wanted the case dismissed.
Meanwhile, Joe and Melissa reportedly owe $16k to an outdoor kitchen company.
On one of Joe’s Instagram posts from earlier this month, one company that Joe and Melissa previously used to build their outdoor kitchen took the opportunity to call out the RHONJ couple for their unpaid $16k bill.
Easy Outdoor Kitchens commented:
“Probably time you called us back to pay your past due $16k from five years ago for your outdoor kitchen.”
Production for season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey will start in late August.
