Vicki Gunvalson Says Scandoval Drama Was Staged; Discusses RHOC Return

Bravo stars Vicki Gunvalson, Raquel Leviss, Tom Sandoval, and Ariana Madix

Vicki Gunvalson accuses the Vanderpump Rules cast of staging Scandoval drama. Plus, the OG of the OC dishes on her return to RHOC.

During an interview with the FACTZ podcast, the RHOC alum revealed that she believes Scandoval was a ploy to increase ratings on Vanderpump Rules and save the sinking show.

Vicki went on to admit that she “does not care” about the drama on Pump Rules at all.

“Everybody has an affair, and I don’t really care,” she quipped.

“They weren’t married. They knew what they were getting into. I think it’s all publicity,” the 61-year-old continued.

Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss meet up after Scandoval is exposed.

Vicki added that she believes that the affair between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss was “one hundred percent” staged.

Meanwhile, Vicki also confirmed her return to the Real Housewives of Orange County while chatting with the FACTZ podcast.

When asked what her role is for season 17 of RHOC, Vicki sadly confirmed that she was asked back as a “friend of” the Housewives.

However, Vicki makes it crystal clear that she is no “friend of” and that she is, in fact, the OG of the OC.

“Well, yeah, they brought me back in, like, maybe six times as a quote—unquote friend,” Vicki explained. “I am not a friend.”

She added: “I am a f*cking OG — like, what are you talking about?”

Vicki previously claimed she would never return to RHOC as anything less than a full-time Housewife after being demoted to a “friend of” for season 14. Vicki starred on the Real Housewives of Orange County from seasons 1 through 13. Yet, it seems Vicki wanted back on the show so badly that she was willing to take any offer Bravo tossed her way.

“It was a kind of a humble piece of pie. I did go to Cancun to surprise them. I filmed a couple of other times with Tamra [Judge], Shannon [Beador], and I,” Vicki said.

It’s important to note that while Vicki is declaring herself a “friend of” for season 17 of the Real Housewives of Orange County, it doesn’t seem that Bravo is characterizing her return in that capacity. In reality, Vicki Gunvalson is being referred to as a “guest” for season 17, while RHOBH alum Taylor Armstrong is the official “friend of” the Housewives.

Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.

How humiliating for her that she isn't even a "friend" but just a guest, with juyst 2 or 3 scenes in a log season. But her ego is such, she lives in the past thinking she remains important to this show. Oh how the might have fallen!

I think Bravo ( Andy Cohen ) is punishing Vicki because she said that she started the franchise...which is true. And she won't back down. Too bad because the show really became a bore when they let Vicki, Tamra and Kelly Dodd go. Maybe Tamra can breathe some life back into it. I barely watched last season.

The ego got too big. Which is when they start letting people go. It needs to happen on other franchises as well…
