Plus, the OG of the OC dishes on her return to RHOC. During an interview with the [FACTZ podcast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pgZzQD7-6I), the RHOC alum revealed that she believes [Scandoval](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/06/08/pump-rules-the-scandoval-shocker/) was a ploy to increase ratings on *[Vanderpump Rules](https://allabouttrh.com/category/vanderpump-rules/)* and save the sinking show. [Vicki](https://allabouttrh.com/category/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county/vicki-gunvalson/) went on to admit that she*** “does not care”*** about the drama on *Pump Rules* at all. ***“Everybody has an affair, and I don’t really care,”*** she quipped. ***“They weren’t married. They knew what they were getting into. I think it’s all publicity,”*** the 61-year-old continued. ![Vanderpump Rules: Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss meet up after Scandoval is exposed.](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/tom-sandoval-raquel-leviss-relationship-1200x800.jpeg)Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss meet up after Scandoval is exposed. Vicki added that she believes that the affair between [Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/06/16/tom-schwartz-sandoval-friendship/) was ***“one hundred percent”*** staged. Meanwhile, Vicki also confirmed her return to the* Real Housewives of Orange County* while chatting with the [FACTZ podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/vicki-gunvalson-ep-23/id1680598839?i=1000617621872). When asked what her role is for [season 17 of RHOC](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/06/08/rhoc-season-17-taglines/), Vicki sadly confirmed that she was asked back as a "friend of" the Housewives. ![RHOC season 17 intro photo](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Screen-Shot-2023-06-08-at-6.49.50-AM.png)RHOC season 17 intro photo However, Vicki makes it crystal clear that she is no "friend of" and that she is, in fact, the OG of the OC. ***“Well, yeah, they brought me back in, like, maybe six times as a quote—unquote friend,” ***Vicki explained. ***“I am not a friend.” *** She added: ***“I am a f*cking OG — like, what are you talking about?” *** Vicki previously claimed she would never return to RHOC as anything less than a full-time Housewife after being demoted to a "friend of" for season 14. Vicki starred on the *Real Housewives of Orange County* from seasons 1 through 13. Yet, it seems Vicki wanted back on the show so badly that she was willing to take any offer Bravo tossed her way. ***“It was a kind of a humble piece of pie. I did go to Cancun to surprise them. I filmed a couple of other times with [Tamra [Judge]](https://allabouttrh.com/category/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county/tamra-barney/), [Shannon [Beador]](https://allabouttrh.com/category/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county/shannon-beador-rhoc/), and I,”*** Vicki said. ![Vicki Gunvalson filming season 17 of RHOC with Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, and Gina Kirschenheiter ](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/vicki-gunvalson-filming-RHOC-season-17-4-1200x1170.jpg)Vicki filming season 17 with Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, and Gina Kirschenheiter (Photo: MEGA) It's important to note that while Vicki is declaring herself a "friend of" for season 17 of the *Real Housewives of Orange County*, it doesn't seem that Bravo is characterizing her return in that capacity. In reality, Vicki Gunvalson is being referred to as a "guest" for season 17, while RHOBH alum [Taylor Armstrong](https://allabouttrh.com/category/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county/taylor-armstrong-the-real-housewives-of-orange-county/)is the official "friend of" the Housewives. *[Real Housewives of Orange County](https://allabouttrh.com/category/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county/page/2/)* airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. ## Thoughts on this all?
