The longtime Bravoleb announced on Thursday, May 4, that *PUMP* would close its doors for good in July. The [WeHo](https://allabouttrh.com/2021/11/05/lisa-vanderpump-clarifies-her-comments-after-getting-slammed-for-speaking-out-against-raising-west-hollywood-minimum-wage/) hotspot opened its doors in 2014 to rave reviews. In a statement to *[PEOPLE](https://people.com/food/lisa-vanderpumps-la-restaurant-pump-is-closing-down/)*, Lisa said: ## “It’s with heavy hearts that Lisa Vanderpump announce that the lease at Pump Restaurant is expiring, and we will be closing its doors on July 5th, after 10 years of beautiful evenings under our olive trees.” As for why *PUMP* is closing, Lisa blames that on an increase in rent. ## "While we have loved our time operating Pump, to take on another 10-year lease with a huge increase in rent by the landlords, is not something we are ready to commit to. After successfully running 37+ establishments for many years, this type of rent is untenable." *[TMZ](https://www.tmz.com/2023/05/04/lisa-vanderpump-pump-restaurant-lounge-closing/)* was the first to report on the closure of *PUMP*. Rumors surrounding the fate of *PUMP* began to swirl back on March 8 when [the restaurant's liquor license was temporarily suspended](https://allabouttrh.com/2023/03/13/abc-suspends-liquor-licenses-at-lisa-vanderpumps-west-hollywood-eateries-tom-tom-and-pump/)by California’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. *PUMP*'s liquor license was reinstated days later, on March 10. Turns out the restaurant's liquor license was set to expire until April 30. When it comes to Lisa's other West Hollywood restaurants, *[Tom Tom](https://allabouttrh.com/2021/04/28/tomtom-reopening-after-rumors-of-the-west-hollywood-hot-spot-being-closed-for-good/)* and *SUR*, a source previously noted that they are doing well. The closure of *PUMP* comes three years after Lisa closed down her Beverly Hills restaurant, [Villa Blanca](https://allabouttrh.com/2018/05/16/pump-rules-the-differences-between-sur-villa-blanca-as-told-by-survers/). Despite Lisa's closing one of her most-beloved restaurants, the reality TV star isn't wasting any time working on new projects.
