Another reality TV marriage is OVER! Former RHOA star Eva Marcille has filed for divorce from her husband Michael Sterling.
Eva is divorcing Michael after less than five years of marriage. According to the divorce paperwork, their marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.”
The Bravo alum later released a statement on her split from Michael telling PEOPLE, “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting.”
“Our children remain our biggest priority, and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
Eva is requesting that the court grant her “equitable division” of the assets she and Michael made during their marriage. as well as her own separate property. The former top model also wants their debt to be “equitably divided” too.
The former RHOA couple wed on October 7, 2018. They “are currently living in a bona fide state of separation,” according to Eva’s court filing.
The pair share three children together – 4-year-old Michael Sterling Jr, who they welcomed in 2018, and Maverick Sterling 3. Michael has also taken on the fatherly role of raising Eva’s daughter Marley Rae, who she shares with ex Kevin McCall.
When it comes to the children, Eva is seeking legal and primary custody. She also is requesting child support and assistance with the “care and maintenance” of the children as well as medical costs.
Bravo fans watched Eva and Michael said ‘I do’ on an episode of RHOA that aired in March 2019. The couple exchanged vows in front of 220 of their friends and family.
RHOA is expected to return for season 15 in mid 2023.
