Chriss Bassett Calls Out Robyn Dixon’s Hotel Comment From Part One of RHOP Season 7 Reunion

Robyn Dixon and Chris Bassett

Chris Bassett calls out Robyn Dixon following part one of the Real Housewives of Potomac season seven reunion.

The husband of Candiace Dillard was less than thrilled to see Robyn jump the fence in defense of her BFF, Gizelle Bryant, after previously siding with him all season long.

At the start of season seven, Gizelle claimed that Chris made her uncomfortable during a private conversation at last season’s reunion. The mom of three insists that having a closed-door conversation with a married man in a hotel room was inappropriate. While Gizelle and Robyn, aka the green-eyed bandits, usually side with each other on everything, however, earlier this season, Robyn sided with Chris amid Gizelle’s allegation. Robyn said she didn’t think Chris did anything wrong and that she couldn’t see him doing anything to make Gizelle uncomfortable.

Throughout the season, Chris denied Gizelle’s claims as well as Ashley Darby‘s allegation that he hit on her friend at Karen Huger‘s Spring Fling party.

Fast forward to the reunion, where Robyn came out swinging at Chris as the cast discussed the drama between Chris and Gizelle. “Can we agree though that it probably is not the best idea for a married man to be in a hotel room with a single woman?” Robyn quipped in support of her BFF Gizelle.

This statement from Robyn didn’t sit well with Chris, who took to Twitter to respond.

“Robyn ain’t s–t for this comment…this COMPLETELY contradicts everything you said at lunch with Candiace and I…and after everything that has come out AFTER the reunion….let me go pay for some rando’s hotel room…I’ll be right back,” Chris tweeted.

Naturally, Robyn’s comment made waves on social media considering the news of her husband, Juan Dixon’s recent indiscretion. Last month, an u,nidentified woman came forward, claiming to have had an affair with Juan during the tail end of the COVID-19 pandemic. She then shared a hotel receipt with Juan’s name and personal information on it with a blogger, who published it on TikTok.

Then, on the January 30th episode of her and Gizelle’s Reasonably Shady podcast, Robyn confirmed the rumors were true.

“I was already aware of the situation, and I expected to talk about it on season seven,” Robyn confessed. While Robyn wouldn’t go into too many details, noting that “there are a lot of things that need to be cleared up,” adding that a lot of “what’s being said” about Juan’s affair “did not happen.”

Then while appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Robyn to explain why Juan’s name was on a hotel receipt when she claims he “didn’t date or fly” the unidentified woman.

Robyn claims she didn’t want to give the woman any more attention but explains that the unnamed woman lives in Canada. She explains that during the pandemic, Canada was under strict lockdown, and the woman told Juan she was coming to Maryland to visit her boyfriend, who was in the NFL. When the woman arrived in Maryland, she called Juan, claiming she lost her wallet and couldn’t pay for her hotel, so he covered the cost of her hotel as a favor.

“So, the hotel receipt comes into play because, for whatever reason, she decided that she wanted to fly to Maryland. She had told Juan that she was dating a Baltimore Ravens player,” Robyn explained. “Somewhere along the way … she tells him she lost her wallet in the casino and she cannot pay for her hotel room.”

Robyn insisted that this was the only time Juan and the woman ever met in person.

Part two February 26 Housewives of Potomac airs on Sundays February 26 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
