During a recent interview, the longtime reality TV star was *"How did it happen? Did you just apply for casting?"* Melissa explained that she didn't go looking to join the show, saying, *"For me, they DM'ed me on Facebook. The casting agents' DM'd me on Facebook, which is not uncommon, by the way." * *"I know a lot of ladies who got casted have been DM'd through social media, so that's their MO. That's kind of how they find you. They say, like, 'Hey, I'm a casting agent on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Can we talk to you?' And it just kind of goes from there,"* Melissa elaborated. However, Andy Cohen and Bethenny Frankel recently discussed the Real Housewives casting process on an episode of *Watch What Happens Live* earlier this month and basically called BS on Melissa's claim. *"You don't get drafted to be on a reality show. I mean, you chose to do it,"* Andy quipped, with Bethenny adding, *"Exactly." * https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmaJnN8Doay/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link *The Real Housewives of New Jersey* returns for season 13 on February 7. ## Thoughts on Melissa Gorga and others?
