Kim Zolciak and her hubby Kroy Biermann have been tardy with their mortgage payments, so much so that their $2.6 million Alpharetta home has gone into foreclosure.
A Notice of Sale Under Power shows that the former Real Housewives of Atlanta couple’s home is set to be sold at auction after they “failed to pay back” a $300,000 loan taken out on the property in December 2013. This loan was the couple’s second mortgage on the property. They acquired a $1.65M mortgage in November 2012. That first mortgage seems to be up to date, per county records. It’s unclear why the couple is paying their first and larger mortgage but not their second.
Per county records, the couple modified their second loan at least once in 2018 to help lower the payments.
Kim and Kroy’s home is valued at $2,535,285. The home sits on Manor Golf & Country Club and boasts five bedrooms, and six-and-a-half bathrooms, totaling 6,907-square-foot of living space.
The property will be put up for sale “on the first Tuesday in November 2022” and “will be sold at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash before the courthouse door of Fulton County, Georgia,” the court document states.
Kim and Kroy have yet to comment publicly on this news. Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo in mid-2023.
