In a new interview, Melissa claims that she would've been cast on the *Real Housewives of New Jersey* even if her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice wasn't on the show first! On the ['Mention It All' podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/family-is-everything-until-it-isnt-ft-melissa-gorga/id1505431645?i=1000561630188), Melissa said:* "it would be crazy to think that [I was the villain of the show]... I was a 31-year-old girl with an opportunity, Just like every other person in new jersey at this point!"* She explained that Bravo had contacted so many women in NJ to be potential cast members that she and Joe would have been cast on the show. *"I am not even going to lie; they've hit every girl up in New Jersey. I know people loved to say in the beginning, 'Oh, it's because of Teresa, or you wouldn't be here,'"* Melissa continued. * "I mean, Do people think that if Teresa wasn't on the show and Bravo came to interview Joe and I- we wouldn't have made it onto the show - but all of these other people would have? I just feel like people are so silly when they say sh*t like that,"* she elaborated. RHONJ will return for season 13 in late 2022 or early 2023. ## Thoughts on this all??
