REPORT: Gizelle Bryant Allegelly Said Chris Bassett Is the Male Ashley Darby and Will Divorce Candiace Dillard For Money

Word on the street is there’s some major drama going down in Potomac.

A new report reveals why Chris Bassett recently went on a crazy Twitter rant reportedly aimed at Real Housewives of Potomac OG Gizelle Bryant.

The RHOP husband slammed the “lies” being spread about him.

“Y’all really not ready for what’s about to go down. Call me what you want, but a liar I am not…and if that’s the path you choose, I promise, you will be sorry,” Chris tweeted.

He continued, “Broke, live off my MIL, no job, whatever…those are lies for a TV show…this is my CHARACTER you are trying to attack, and I will NOT sit down and say nothing.”

Now, days later, a report from Mad Beefs on Twitter claims that Gizelle “jokingly said Chris is the male Ashley [Darby] and will divorce [his wife] Candiace [Dillard Bassett] in 5 years, receiving [a chunk of ] Candiace’s money.”

As we previously reported, Ashley recently filed for divorce from her husband, Michael Darby. Ashley will reportedly receive a large chunk of Michael’s reported $20 million net worth. Their prenup expired after five years of marriage. The former reality TV couple wed in May 2016.

When it comes to Chris and Candiace, they have a prenup. It’s unclear what the terms of their prenup are though Candiace does have a trust fund provided by her mother, Dorothy. Chris, on the other hand, reportedly comes from a wealthy family.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is expected to return for season 7 in mid-to-late 2022.
