Some table-flipping fun (and drama) is coming to Bravo in 2022.
In a new interview with Page Six, Melissa Gorga hints that Real Housewives of New Jersey fans should expect some “big explosions” when the franchise returns for season 12 in 2022.
“It’s definitely crazy. There’s moments in there [where] I was like, ‘Wow, I thought we were way past that’ — especially when you think everyone’s happy now and in love bubbles,” Melissa revealed in reference to sister-in-law Teresa Giudice’s and her relationship with fiancé, Luis “Louie” Ruelas.
“Then you see things explode and you’re like, ‘Where did that come from?!’” she continued. “‘[It’s] very comparable to the beginning seasons that we’re all remembering.”
She also hinted that when the drama hit the fan, Louie stepped in to calm Teresa’s notorious outbursts.
“I definitely think he tries to talk more sense into her. So, when she’s losing it — and you’ll actually see this on the upcoming season — when she’s starting to go there to the other side, he kind of brings her back and he’s like, ‘Whoa, these ladies are right. You need to listen to them.’” she confessed. “I’m like, ‘Where have you been all our lives?’”
However, Melissa notes that even Louie gets “put through the wringer” during filming. She adds that despite the drama she and Teresa’s beau “get along really, really well.”
“You’ll see: He has to go through [it]. And you’ll see, I’m like, ‘There’s no passes,’” she quips. “Welcome to the family.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey will return to Bravo in February 2022.
