It’s no secret that Candiace Dillard knows how to pop off. It’s even less of a secret that her husband Chris Basset isn’t always a fan of his wife’s antics especially when she crosses the line – hello, pulling a butter knife on Ashley Darby a few seasons back.
So it’s not surprising that Candiace’s most recent drama with Ashley crossed Chris’ threshold of patience real quick.
After Candiace started to go off and claimed that Ashley’s husband Michael Darby “drives his slaves” Chris came to the rescue yet again and attempted to save his wife from herself.
Now, Ashley is shedding some light on the dynamics between Chris and Candiace and reveals that Chris is sometimes a “little embarrassed” by his wife’s antics.
“Chris has always been really nice like he’s DM’d me a couple of times you know like he tries to sort of bridge things between Candiace and I,” Ashley said on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
She continued. “I think he’s a little embarrassed by her sometimes, to be honest. He said it himself I didn’t put any words in the man’s mouth.”
