While we don't know much about Gregg's cancer battle over the last months of his life, a new report reveals that his wife, NeNe Leakes, did everything she could to make Gregg's final days *"peaceful."* On September 1, Gregg passed away with his wife of nearly 25 years by his side. This news came just days after the *Real Housewives of Atlanta OG* revealed that Gregg was *"transitioning to the other side"* following a long battle with cancer. *"You don't know what we're dealing with right now,"* NeNe told the crowd at her Linneethia Lounge. in Duluth, Ga.* "My husband is at home dying. I don't want to say 'Happy Birthday.'"* Now weeks later we are learning more about Gregg's final days and everything NeNe did to be there for Gregg during his transition. *"In his final days, NeNe made sure Gregg got peace and quiet and was surrounded by loved one,"* an RHOA insider reveals to *Life & Style*.* "Giving Gregg a proper send-off was her main priority."* *"She did her best to make him as comfortable as possible at the end. It's all she could do,"* notes the source. In June 2021, NeNe revealed that Gregg's cancer had returned. Gregg spent six weeks in the hospital following cancer surgery. In 2018, Gregg was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. He was in remission for two years. Ughh still so heartbroken over Gregg's passing. So sad. He was a good guy and is gone way too soon. Sending my love to NeNe, Bryson, and Brent. ## Thoughts on this all?
