James Kennedy, aka the White Kanye, celebrates two years of sobriety - a fete not many *Vanderpump Rules* fans thought the DJ would ever accomplish. On July 6, the *Pump Rules* star celebrated two years of sobriety after publicly struggling with alcohol for many years. The DJ/reality TV star celebrated his sober anniversary on social media. *"I'M 2 YEARS SOBER TODAY. Thank you [to] everyone that has supported me and my journey so far. Here’s to many more years alcohol-free #forlife (to anyone struggling, trust me, the light at the end is brighter then anything I could of imagined. and if I can do it, you can too),"* James wrote alongside a photo of him with a number 2 balloon.  https://www.instagram.com/p/CRAPDEzltnP/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Many of James' current and former *Pump Rules* co-stars congratulated him on his sobriety journey. Check out what they had to say below! ![](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Screen-Shot-2021-07-09-at-10.12.03-AM.png) ![](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Screen-Shot-2021-07-09-at-10.12.13-AM.png) ![](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Screen-Shot-2021-07-09-at-10.12.22-AM.png) ![](https://allabouttrh.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Screen-Shot-2021-07-09-at-10.12.29-AM.png) Congrats to James! Such an amazing accomplishment. While I'm so happy for James, I am curious to see the sober version of James when season 9 of *Pump Rules* airs later this year. It will be interesting to see if sober James still has that same reality TV spark. I think he'll do fine and still bring it - I mean, he's sober, but still James, ya know? *Vanderpump Rules* will return to Bravo in late 2021 or early 2022. ## Thoughts on this news?
