Some Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are NOT happy with Melissa Gorga for defending friend and co-star Jackie Goldschneider amid her controversial comments about Teresa Giudice’s daughter and Melissa’s niece, Gia Giudice.
On the April 14th episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Melissa defended her decision to back Jackie over her sister-in-law Teresa in their ongoing season 11 drama.
One fan asked Melissa if she regrets backing Jackie now that she’s seen the footage of Jackie’s conversation with Teresa and her analogy about Gia.
“It was an analogy,” Melissa said when asked why she didn’t defend Gia. “She did not try to accuse Gia of doing that in the bathroom or I would never look at Jackie again. It was an analogy.”
Some fans were not happy with Melissa’s answer as it’s well known within the RHONJ fan base that kids are ALWAYS off-limits. Others felt Melissa should have defended Gia over Jackie no matter what considering Gia is her niece.
One fan said, “Even Caroline Manzo defended Gia but her own aunt threw her under the bus. What a sh!t auntie. Next, Jackie will be coming for Antonia [Gorga], let’s see how you will feel then. Jackie has gone after Jen’s children and now Teresa. Next will be Melissa.”
