Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery or just plain embarrassing?
That is the question many fans were asking after seeing Joanna Krupa’s latest product, a lip collection that looks very familiar to another reality star’s makeup line .
The former RHOM star proudly promoted her latest products titled “Kiss Kit” which are obviously a knock off of Kylie Jenner’s uber successful Lip Kit line. Not only is the name similar but the packaging is nearly identical:
Fans bashed Joanna saying she should be embarrassed it was such an obvious knock off and can’t believe she would put her name on it. Others even noted it was ‘beneath’ a successful model like Joanna to associate herself with a knock off product.
Interestingly enough, the product only seems to be promoted in Polish so I’m wondering if she is selling/promoting the product exclusively in Poland where Kylie’s line may not be known. A quick Google search shows the websites for these kits are in Polish and her Instagram posting is also in Polish, roughly translating to “Soft, delicate lips are always fashion” along with instructions on where to buy them.
I have no problem with Joanna doing a lip line (models collaborate on makeup lines all the time) but it comes off a little cheap to have them so close to Kylie’s line. She needs to have a serious discussion with whoever is doing her packaging/marketing and have them step up their creative game!
