Sadness is in the summer air for Karen Huger, star of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Her father has just passed away of natural causes at the age of 74. He also suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. According to Page Six, Karen confirmed it to them and said, “There’s never enough time. In my father’s memory, any donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are most appreciated.” That charity is one that is close to her heart. On the RHOP she is often raising money for charities. Last year Karen explained, after hosting a benefit for the Alzheimer’s Association, “I need to find a cure for this. What a wonderful position to raise funds to help others.”
Just last month, she shared, “ACTION = HOPE.” Karen was partaking in Alzheimer’s awareness month.

RIP to Karen’s father. Sending love and prayers her way. It’s always hard to lose a loved one, and takes a lot of time to heal a little bit. Hopefully there will be a cure for Alzheimer’s soon. It’s a very sad disease. I’m glad Karen has been doing so much to raise awareness and funding for the Alzheimer’s Association. I’m sure we will see this effect the storylines on the RHOP for Karen, so we will be able to see how she’s doing! Stay tuned!
