However, the *Real Housewives of Orange County* star isn't shying away from her weight gain and is being open and honest about it. In an Instagram post mere hours [before the premiere of season 12](https://allabouttrh.wpengine.com/2017/02/09/wednesday-struggling-shannon-checks-in-to-fat-farm-ahead-of-rhoc-taping/), Shannon opened up about [her weight gain and those pesky plastic surgery rumors](https://allabouttrh.wpengine.com/2017/06/08/shannon-beador-turning-plastic-surgery-shed-weight/). *"So let's just get to it. Yes, I have gained weight. A lot of weight. About 40 pounds to be exact. I am hopeful that my fans and viewers of the show will be supportive of my journey."* Meanwhile, Shannon wrapped her post up by thanking those who have supported her through it all. *"I am very grateful and thankful to those people that have already reached out to me with their kind thoughts.
