NeNe Leakes returned to Broadway on November 23rd in the role of Matron “Mama” Morton in the revival of Chicago! She will reportedly perform the role for four weeks (through Dec. 20th). NeNe isn’t new to the Broadway stage as she previously debuted in the role of the wicked stepmother in Cinderella. Aside from RHOA, she also has held various TV roles proving that she is more than just a reality star!
NeNe also took to Instagram after her debut in the role to celebrate her first night as the iconic Mama Morton:
Although Queen Latifah will always be the ultimate Mama Morton in our book, I can definitely see NeNe doing great as she certainly has the attitude and sass required for this role! Congrats to Nene on her Chicago debut!
