So conscious in fact that her two adorable sons Maverick, 4, and Stirling, 2 have never even had a Happy Meal! Lydia [explains](https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-moms/news/lydia-mclaughlin-my-kids-have-never-had-fast-food-2013128) to Us Weekly, *"We went to the mall and they had Wetzel's Pretzels. They're children, but they've never had fast food in their whole life."* Instead, when the kids want a snack, Lydia whips out the greens and has them snack on that. *"We make smoothies and put spinach in them. That's a good way to get your kids to eat their greens and you can freeze them. We make them into lollipops or popsicles,"* she reveals. I know it's her choice and it's GOOD that she has her kids eating healthy from the start, but I feel like children would love McDonald's every once in a while, hehe. I know I would! If my mom had prohibited that as a kid I would probably be huge right now because I would binge to make up for it, or something. Like, how can you be from Southern California and never had In-N-Out?! Yummmm. Maybe that's why she got upset when Slade told her to eat a cheeseburger, LOL. Thoughts on Lydia's healthy-snacks only policy? Extreme or just health-conscious?
