For the record, I had never seen RHOC till last week! Lots of discussion about this online — but it’s the truth! Well, overall I thought this episode was very good and very entertaining. The party at Vicki’s went better than I had thought it would go. There were a few moments I’d like to comment on. . .
I told Sarah (Gretchen’s friend) that her boyfriend needed to essentially “put a ring on it” that was part of a larger conversation. Sarah has a 12-year-old (lovely) son. I feel like she should have gotten a firm commitment (ring) from her (wealthy) boyfriend before she moved into his house with her son. You can’t “play house” when there are children involved. That was my point.
Then there was the story of my engagement to my husband. . . well listen, when you are on your way to Paris, you are kind of hoping for the Eiffel tower proposal, not five hours into an 11 hour flight when your makeup has seeped into your skin, your contact lenses are dry, a kid is kicking your seat, and you are watching a bad movie on a tiny screen while drinking from a plastic cup and eating stale snack mix. However, I was thrilled to be marrying Terry. . .and that’s the important part of the story. . .
Now, we move on to Gretchen. At the party I called her cute a couple of times. She let Slade know this was not OK, and he thought I was jealous of her. Hmmmm. First of all, I know cute is a four letter word, but when did it become a “FOUR LETTER WORD”!?! Gretchen and I had a few nice moments together when we went to the bathroom (OK, that sounds weird, but you know what I mean) so, when we got back to the table, I was genuinely enjoying her company. Tamra had scared me so badly about all of the ladies before the party, I was relieved that I was getting along with everyone. So I said she was cute! BTW, she is cute. I meant it as a compliment. For the record Sladey-Slade, I had a great time in my 20s and 30s. I’m very excited to be in my 40s and I’m in a great place in my life. I have no desire to go backwards. . Just saying. . .
The dinner — well, I thought Vicki did a great job with dinner. She was trying something a little different and fun. I thought some of the girls were rude about the food. My only issue was the presentation. You can’t bring out industrial plastic bags to serve crawfish… That was a poor choice . It would have been cooler if they had piled them directly on butcher paper on the table. Just a thought. . .
So Alexis. . .just because I’m not Angelina Jolie doesnt mean I’m not an actress! Jeez! Check imdb.com if you’d like my credits (which I need to update, but at least you get an idea). The segment of my family getting ready to go out was so funny to me! Terry is such a goofball! He tells such corny jokes! Such a ham!
Lastly — and forgive me if this is too immodest — I love watching my kids on camera. They are the lights of my life and I am blessed to have them.
Can’t wait to see what next week brings!”
How are you guys liking Heather this season?
