Monty Brinson, who **was** married to Kim in the 1980's talks about Kim and says she is finding happiness. Monty told Life & Style weekly, "Kim wasn't happy with her life. She wanted to seek help so she could get better for herself, her children and **her** family." When news **broke** that Kim was checking into rehab, sources claimed her problems had been going on for a while. "Kim's alcohol addiction along with other substance abuse problems has been obvious for quite some time, but it's really good that she's finally getting help," a source told [Us weekly](https://www.usweekly.com) Monty claims that watching Kim's friend Taylor Armstrong deal with the aftermath of her husband's suicide helped the **RHOBH** star understand the importance of getting help. "She's ready to start a **new** life when she gets out," he said. Monty and Kim seem like they still care about each other. Maybe the two should give it another **shot?**
